Description: Belleek Cream Jug Type 1 – 1st Green Mark. This is Belleek’s Basketweave and Shamrocks pattern, which is also known as the Toy Shamrocks pattern. Belleek produced 2 different varieties of cream jugs. The cream jug measures 4 1/4” tall and 3 1/4” across at its widest point, with a 2 1/8” opening at the top. All dimensions are approximate. These items are handmade so dimensions, finish and glaze will vary from piece to piece. There are no chips or cracks that I can see after careful examination. The white and dark spots in the photographs are from reflections (I am not a very good photographer). The 1st green mark dates the piece from the period 1946 – 1955, and will make an excellent addition to the collection of any serious Belleek vintage 1st green mark collector.
