The set includes a teapot and a sugar bowl, both of which are made of high-quality bone China and have a glossy finish. The round shape at the top morphs to a hexagonal shape at the base. and art deco style. The set is handmade and features decorative details, including a weeping gold finish made using 22K gold that adds a touch of elegance. The care instructions recommend hand washing only, and the backstamp is printed. These original pieces from the Weeping Gold product line are perfect for tea parties and will make a great addition to your collection. Bel-Terr China, Inc. was founded in New Palestine, Ohio in 1961. Later they added the Dixon Art Studios line. This confused me after I bought these two items from different estate sales because they were beautiful and looked like they belonged together. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that it was the same company. Regretfully, the companies are now out of business so the only way to find pieces like this is the used marketplace. I have been trying to locate a creamer that would complete the set but have discovered that pieces from this product line are becoming rare. I wish you good luck finding one in this condition.
