The glass is in mint condition. No bubbles or cracks. The tray opens a closes without issues. I do have a new belt and pulley in case it does need repair one day. Only used the fixed output...no testing done on the variable output. The Wood Cabinet for this MCD7005 will be included, but will have to be packaged in separate boxes to avoid damaging the cd player in transit. So the shipping charges will be high. If you are interested...I can have things professionally packaged up and double boxed. Just let me know. Cosmetically... As the photos will show this MCD 7005 is in very good 9/10 cosmetic condition for its Vintage. The front glass has no cracks or bubbling no scratches or dents. There is some slight smudges which may come off with Goo Gone. I will not attempt it. The remote control is also in good cosmetic condition, and is fully functional. Operationally... This McIntosh MCD 7005 is in good operating condition! Unlike most CD Players the CD Transport Drawer is all metal, not plastic, so this mechanism is of top professional quality. It opens and closes without any issues. The soundstage is quite stunning with a rich tube-like warmth without the digital stridency or harshness. This MCD 7005 cd player has that certain sweet spot that brings the analog and digital to meet at that place of it being hard to define which source you are enjoying ... Is it digital or is it an analog source ? An absolutely stunning sound stage! The best from a cd player I have ever had the privilege to hear. In my humble "Ears-on Experience" the above was indeed jaw dropping. Having had the luxury of owning a number of cd players to compare it to, the MCD 7005 was indeed in a differnet class! The blend of analog and digital sound is unmatched. Having the MCD 7005 connected to a Tube Amp & Preamp System or Solid State & Tube setup the 7005 sound signature did not waver. Its actually the first CD Player I have ever seen with a heat sink. So if you would like to bridge that elusive digital - analog divide, this McIntosh MCD 7005 might just be what you have been looking for...
