Description: So, I have a very large mechanic's bill coming up and I'm trying to soothe the hurt with some extra ebay sales, so I am testing the water with a few pieces that I may or may not get around to wearing. These are high-end, high-quality pieces. These are not at all the sorts of pieces that come from a certain kimono recycler. Some of these pieces will have a very firm price; I am motivated to sell with multi-purchases as always, but please keep in mind these are not the usual ebay stuff that's been through who knows what. I am an experienced kimono vendor and collector for 20+ years and know that anything purchased from me is inspected in detail. This is a super high-end tsumugi kimono that's basically the whole 9 yards. Great length and extra wide. A 'large width' kimono is considered to have 25cm front width, and a 30cm backwidth and we got a bit more on this one. This piece is an authentic Oshima Tsumugi kimono; these things are expensive as can be and they're well-worth the money. These are super-timeless kimono; trendy, high-quality and they only get better the more they're worn. I have literal 100yo Oshima Tsumugi kimono that are still wearable. This silk is so buttery and wonderful. I'm picking this one to sell because I have several other Oshima Tsumugi that I'll always pick before this one ( mostly because they're wider than this one, and I like my kimono extra cozy with my big hips ) I'm in Florida, and this baby is lined. I don't know what I was thinking. I still tell myself I might wear it on one of the 3 cold snaps we get here in December or January. Being tsumugi, this piece is silk. Delicious silk. Texture is delightful. There is a small smudge to the hakkake and there's a little discoloration on the lining in the collar where a metal snap has left some metal residue.
