About the Artist: Mark Furman was born in 1945 in Kharkov, Ukraine. Furman, who began painting as a toddler, was accepted to Shevchenko Art College in 1959 at the age of 14. Upon graduating, he studied at Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts (KSADA). After graduating from KSADA, he worked for ten years in design while continuing to paint. In 1990, Furman immigrated to Israel, where he continued to paint. Furman’s paintings typically depict Jewish life, weddings, Klezmer bands, and Israeli landscapes, especially Jerusalem landscapes. Furman's art has been exhibited in Israel, Europe, and the United States. Furman passed away in March of 2014. Sales tax will be charged as applicable.
