Description: Presented is a set of 9 gorgeous Japanese Imari plates from the mid 1800s, 1840 to 1880. This set has a stunning brocade design with two scenes repeated around the plates, one of a dragon in the cloud and the other a landscape scene, with a large peach is at the center. The plates have been hand-painted with brilliant colors. This set has a deep well, giving the plates a good amount of depth and a higher rim than most plates. There are 10 plates photoed. The 10th plate has a significant repair, which can be seen in the last photo. This plate is not a part of the price and will be included for free. If you would not like the repaired plate, please let us know and we will not ship it. The underside of each plate is marked with a Japanese character. We have other pieces in this pattern. We encourage you to view our page or reach out if you are interested in more of this collection. This set is in great overall condition. All plates have crisp painted details, with only minor scuffs or losses to the paint from light use. There is some loss to the gilded edge, but is bright overall. This set of 9 has no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs. Measurements: 9 1/2 inches diameter -kc Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
