Description: Here is a really nice ship's badge of the German Navy's Fregatte AUGSBURG, decommissioned in only 2019. The mahogany plaque is 7 1/2" tall and the aluminum ship's badge is hand decorated. As you see it mimics the badge seen on the quarters of the ship in the photo. The badge is actually the coat of arms of the city of Augsburg. One would expect this badge might have been cast in the factory where the ship was made but it wasn't. It was made by Blohm and Voss! OR, at least the wooden component was. Say this next line in your fast infomercial voice: (actual German warship in attached photograph not included as a part of this auction). Good luck and thanks for looking at one of The Mighty Atom's sales.
