Description: Method of payment Beautiful Greek Women Holding Flowers - 1919 NBC Real Photo RPPCs CLEARANCE LOT/3 Postcard: Set/3 Real Photo Postcards - Two cards - major faults (corner missing; tear; crease) ; one card nice (middle) Printed in Germany; Published by Atlantis Inc., NY (Card 2007 & 2013) -- The stamp box seen on the reverse of these postcards has an interesting story attached to it. “NBC” (Neue Bromsilber Convention) was a price cartel established in 1909 that continued until the 1930’s. The purpose of the cartel was to ensure that the minimum price charged for postcards was kept at a sufficiently profitable level. A number of postcard publishing companies joined the cartel in an effort to stave off the effect of competition on the pricing of postcards. The NBC logo imprint can come along in various colors (red, green, blue, grey etc.), sometimes very faint, too. Excellent: Like mint in appearance with no bends or creases, or rounded or blunt corners. May be postally used or unused and with writing and postmark only on the address side. A clean, fresh card on the picture side. Very Good: Corners may be a bit blunt or rounded. May have minor surface marks. May have almost undetectable crease that does not detract from overall appearance of the picture side. May have writing or postally used on address side. Good: Corners may be noticeably blunt or rounded with noticeably slight bends or creases. May have minor surface marks. May be postally used or have writing on the address side. Fair: Card is intact. Excess soil, stains, creases, writing, or cancellation may affect picture. Could be a scarce card that is difficult to find in any condition.
