Description: Up for sale is a favorite painting of mine by the rarely seen Eugene Fassy depicting a gorgeous landscape of a large white building. The view of this impressive building is naturally framed with tall trees in the foreground, rows of bushes and two green benches that just meld into the vegetation. I love the two trees in the most foreground that are covered in bushy leaves all the way till they exit the frame. The painting is beautifully executed and shows lovely shading and color from the rich green, cool stone building and pink flowers decorating around the premises. Signed in the low right corner "E Fassy" this painting is dated 1925 and is executed in oil on canvas measuring 18 x 22 inches while its attractive off white painted frame measures 25 x 28.5 inches. The condition of this painting shows puncture and loss, craquelure and other surface imperfections. While the work shows these blemishes the painting still displays wonderfully but this work more than warrants the attention of a conservator.
