Description: Beautiful antique and rare bronze medal with high reliefs of Assembly of the Portuguese Republic. The Assembly of the Portuguese Republic is the legislative body of the Portuguese State and the second sovereign body of the Portuguese Republic. It is a unicameral parliament, composed of 230 deputies, elected by direct and secret universal suffrage for 4-year terms. The Assembly of the Republic has the powers to legislate and supervise the actions of the Portuguese Government, in addition to exercising its primary function of representing Portuguese citizens. The Assembly of the Republic meets at the São Bento Palace and at the back of the building is the Official Residence of the Prime Minister. This medal was made in 1976 by the notable portuguese sculptor Cabral Antunes, laureate with national and international awards.The medal has 9 cm diameter, and 3 to 7 mm thickness. Weighs: 290 grams.
