The graph paper in the background as well as numbers throughout the painting were used as a template for the scale to be used by the weavers to adopt the painting in a woven carpet. The design has charming stylized flowers and leaves and scrolls in red, gold, grey, pale, aqua, pink and green leaves. See photos for reference. Measurement: 40 inches in Length by 38 inches in Width Condition: good - this is an old painting! There are four pieces taped together from the back. There is surface dirt on the front, but still wonderful for framing! A piece from French history! Please see photos for reference. All fabrics, wallpapers and paintings are sold "as is".
