Description: This is our latest Design Alternator Bracket Kit for a Big Block Chevy using a Short Water Pump pulley, a Supercharger Pulley, or an Electric Water Pump with a Short Pump Crank Pulley. This bracket mounts to (3) holes in the head. It positions a standard size (1965-1985) GM alternator (or an aftermarket 1-wire alternator) outboard of the head and slightly back so your belt will line up with the crank pulley groove that is closest to the harmonic balancer. This allows you to use a single, double, or triple groove crank pulley for other accessories. This new design positions the alternator higher to clear your upper A-arm. Note: this will not clear upper A-Arms on 60's thru 70's Camaros - Please search eBay item number 123877270060 for a bracket that will work for you. We've upgraded our previous design, this bracket now has (3) bolts in the head and (3) bolts securing the front bracket for added rigidity to insure a solid alternator mount with no flex. This kit comes with all mounting hardware to solidly mount your bracket and alternator. This bracket is CNC machined from 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum. The flat surfaces have a beautiful brushed satin finish. If you are running a mechanical water pump, you will need a Gates #7525 or NAPA 25-7525 V-BeltNote: If you are running aftermarket ALUMINUM HEADS, they typically use all 3/8-16 threaded holes in the head.
