Description: Up for sale is a Bauer Pottery La Linda pattern 13" chop plate. This chop plate, made in the early 1940's, is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. And, no marks or scratches from utensil contact. This chop plate does have under glaze discoloration (marks) probably from being mishandled by the glazer before the plate went into the kiln (see last two photos). Because of downsizing we recently went through our collection of chop plates (and large platters) and reluctantly sorted out the ones that we no longer had room for. But, our loss is your gain. Starting today I am listing over 20 chop plates (and large platters) from our collection. Because I know that shipping large, heavy chop plates is not cheap, I am trying to keep their prices reasonable. Also, if you live in the Southern California area, I'm offering free local pickup on the chop plates and platters.
