Battle Ready Katana (Ronin Pro Dojo Model 11)

Description: Make: Ronin Model: Pro Dojo Model 11 This sword is dojo ready and can be used for cutting tatami mats. Has been sharpened & used to cut pool noodles as make-shift tatami cutting mats. It does need some love & care.. But that will be a part of sword ownership no matter which sword you own. Especially if you plan on actually using the weapon. But if you're willing to learn & put in the effort, this could be an even better sword. I know because I have done it before. Suitable for either beginner or experienced swordsman. Or simply a nice addition to a cosplay outfit / wall ornament. ***FULL DISCLOSURE AHEAD*** Does have minimal wear: One Owner Well Cared For Never Abused or Bent Blade is at Full Strength Has been sharpened & hand sanded to a satin finish (A near mirror appearance). Some high grit sanding & polishing would bring this blade to a True Mirror Finish (Most of the hard work has been done).. It is sharp enough for effective cutting use, but could be much sharper if put to some fine grit stones. I just didn't care to spend the extra time. This for me was simply a hobby sword. Not for staking my life on or something to be used for show or competitions. I have drilled some SMALL weight relief holes in the tang to better balance the blade. And it was an improvement. All other hardware (Habaki, Tsuba, Tsuka, Tsuka Ito, Same & Kashira) is intact & usable. There is SOME rattle in the Habaki & a bit of flex in the Tsuka (some hammering, metal pins instead of wood & blue loctite would easily solve that issue) Saya (Sheath), Sageo (Hanging Cord) are in beautiful condition (no chips or major scrathes in the black piano lacquered wood) Don't have a sword bag but will carefully ship in bubble wrap to prevent damage. Sword bags are very easy & affordable to acquire. Some SMALL blemishes on the blade which can be EASILY REMOVED with either polish and a rag - or comet, a scrub brush & some water. High grit sandpaper also works for this.. Does have ONE TINY chip in the blade. I have reprofiled the tip from an accidental drop that occurred while sharpening. It was just enough to roll it and be a bother. Now it is VERY sharp & functional. Other than these things listed - it is an excellent sword, worth the expense & investment if you're looking for a quality Katana.
