After all, both activities are hard-hitting and fast paced with full of contact (well, with the exception of stuff like Synchronized Swimming and Bowling, of course.) Various companies tried their hand at combining the best elements of both with such efforts as Arch Rivals, Pigskin Footbrawl, Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball, Mutant League Football and Ninja Golf (!). Basketbrawl is an enhanced version of the 7800 game which came out a few years prior to this one, and sadly, this portable rendition of the game fails just as miserably. As is the case with real Basketball, the goal is to outscore one's opponent by making more baskets, but that's where the similarity ends. You're better served by slicing and dicing your opponent then nailing a 20-foot jumper, or wheelin' and dealin' your foe with a body blow than slammin' down a monster dunk.
