They have been completely serviced by a Lewmar trained technician and is ready for years of reliable service. These units were previously installed and used. They are in excellent mechanical condition - jaws and all gear surfaces remain sharp. All springs have been replaced with new. All pawls that showed wear were replaced with new. Each winch is completely disassembled and all parts are soaked in solvent and manually cleaned to remove hardened grease that can cause the pawls to stick and fail to lubricate the bearings and gears. All parts are carefully inspected and unserviceable parts are replaced. All springs are replaced with Lewmar Factory springs which are a heavier gauge and more reliable than older springs. All pawls are examined and those that show any signs of wear are replaced. Winches are carefully reassembled and lubricated with Lewmar Brand lubricants. Winches are tested for proper function after reassembly. Why take the gamble on buying and installing "as is" used winches that have not been carefully examined and refurbished by a Lewmar trained technician? These winches can be installed and used with peace of mind.
