Meanwhile, substation officer Oh Gyeong Tae comes across a little girl posting flyers looking for her missing mother. Oh Gyeong Tae finds the officer in charge of the case and asks for an update. The assistant inspector Do In Beom tells Oh Gyeong Tae that the woman was a regularly reported runaway and drug addict and she will eventually return so there is no need to actually investigate. To help the little girl, Oh Gyeong Tae starts investigating the case even though he doesn't have jurisdiction. Oh Gyeong Tae pulls cell phone records of the missing woman and reaches her apartment. He finds traces of bleach, blood and hair in her apartment and is convinced that she was killed. He is attacked by Do In Beom who justifies beating Oh Gyeong Tae as he was trespassing his jurisdiction.
