Description: Here we have a used Bachmann "The American" HO Scale train set circa 2005/2006 with a Santa Fe EMD FT diesel, a gondola, a hopper, a caboose, 12 EZ tracks, controller, wire, and power pack. The set has been assembled and tested and the train works great in forward and reverse. Locomotive has new coupler housings. All broken couplers were replaced with Kadee's/Bachmann spares. Some cars as well as the locomotive may have surface wear and dirt, and cars may have broken/missing details such as steps/handrails/caboose chimney. Controller has new capacitors. May also have surface wear and stains. Tracks are matches for the originals and may have slightly bent rail joiners and surface wear/dirt. Box has heavy wear and hard plastic was installed in the display areas. Train compartment has heavy wear. Cardboard compartment for the track and controller was missing, and a new one was fabricated. No paperwork. Sold as-is.
