Description: This is a beautiful Bach Strad in excellent condition for a 75 year old horn, manufactured in New York in 1951. (serial # 10486 - see shop card) Plays and looks great. Recently cleaned and polished with a valve alignment at J Landress. Landress says the valve compression is excellent. Valve action excellent. Hard to find a NY strad in this condition. Leadpipe #25, Bell #37 No dents, one well done patch on tuning slide at the third valve, pinky slide was replaced with original Bach (see some solder residual) and some minor nicks in the plating on the bell (see photos) All Serial numbers match on valves. Bach Case - not original This horn was some of the last manufactured in the Bronx before the move to Mt. Vernon. Very rare to find a NY Strad in this condition.
