Description: Bach 50BLG Bass Trombone double Thayer valvesDescriptionBuck's bass trombone with double Thayer valves. This instrument is a traditional rotary bass trombone with a Thayer valve built in afterwards. Therefore, there are marks on the bell section where it was removed (Photo 6). The valve is made by Thayer and is made of stainless steel, which is no longer manufactured. The Thayer valve is probably more valuable than the instrument itself. The bell is a red bell (red brass) and measures 9.5 inches. There are no major dents that stand out, but the instrument as a whole has some lacquer soreness from age and use. It would be beautifully restored by having the entire instrument clear coated at a music store. The bell can be removed. The slide handle has the wear characteristic of an aged back. There are no holes. Please repair and maintain by yourself.Shipping Fedex or DHLInternational Buyers - Please Note:Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
