Description: Vintage Aynsley Gold Leaves And Burgundy Cup And Saucer. Beautiful Aynsley Bone China cup and saucer. A wide band of bright gilt leaves surrounds the outer rim of the saucer on ivory followed by a band of marbleized burgundy with a bouquet of colorful flowers in the center of the well on white. This decoration is repeated on the inside of the footed cup. The rim of the cup and saucer as well as the foot and handle are trimmed in bright gold gilt. Both pieces are marked on the reverse in green with the Ansley crown AYNSLEY ENGLAND Bone China, this mark was used from 1934-1950's. Displays beautifully. Cup measures approx 3 3/4" in diameter, stands approx 2 1/4" tall.Saucer measures approx 5 1/2" in diameter. Very good vintage condition to commensurate with age and use. No chips, cracks or crazing. One tiny pin head size spot on the top of the handle where the gilt has rubbed. Please remember this is a no return.Questions are welcome.Thank you for looking.
