Natural media - rocks, feathers, fabric, shells and more are employed. Has elements of Abstraction and Expressionism, even a bit of Cubism with the exaggerated and disjointed, put together figures. Signed on bottom along with tons of written information - can't translate - apologies. One of the standing figures is a little loose but still connected - left, 2nd row. Overall condition is Good to Very Good.Sculpture measures 13" Tall, 9 1/4" Wide and 8" Deep. Sculpture weighs 2 lbs., 14 oz. before packing.Please carefully examine all images for condition. *Heloisa Novaes, painter, was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and lives and works in Paris since 1976. She has obtained french nationality in 2004. Studied at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris, with Lucien Coutaud and Jacques Lagrange. Her first solo exhibition of oil paintings, was at the Samy Kinge Gallery, in Paris,1986. In London where she went frequently in the 1980’s Heloisa has met twice with Doris Lessing at her London home, before Ms Lessing’s Nobel Prize. Novaes is a relative of the great Brazilian pianist Guiomar Novaes, she has a passion for classical music and reading.In Brazil, Novaes has showed her work at the Giovanna Bonino Gallery, show presented with a text by the poet Mario da Silva Brito.Several solo exhibitions, Heloisa Novaes’ paintings are at Art Museums all over the world, as well as in private collections in Europe, United States, Asia and in Brazil.
