Description: Avengers 4, Marvel Comics, March 1964. The Silver Age reintroduction of Captain America, from the hands of Jack Kirby! Fair to Good condition, complete, but a bit of tape at the bottom of the inside front cover, and a fair amount of spine roll. A couple of the center folds appear to have been glued in, and there is some black pen at the bottom of the spine to hide that there is about a 1 inch split at the bottom with a bit of paper gone. There is some sign of water spotting in the margins of some of the interior pages. Also, one page in the center (12/13) has some significant margin shipping. And, there's a date stamp (Dec 1) on the cover. Bottom line, it's a key issue in low grade, but complete. Given the wizardry some pressers/restorers are doing these days, it might be able to be brought up by a point or so, but I wouldn't expect much more of an increase than that. But, if you want to own this Key Issue with the first Silver Age appearance of Captain America, and you don't want to take out a second mortgage to do it, this one will fill the bill quite nicely!
