Late Medieval Gothic Copper Alloy Candleholder For your consideration is a very EARLY and exceedingly RARE copper alloy candleholder, also known as "KNOOPKANDELAAR"Characteristic discoid form for the late 1400's Medieval Gothic tasteIt is of two part construction and displays a typical entirely closed socket with a flat knop bellow, one more knop, a long baluster with ringing, another knop and the shaft terminates in the medium high skirt base, the so called "hollow incurved conical base". (A very similar example described with comments on the site of the Antique Associates of West Townsend, Mass.); Reference: Ronald F.
