Description: Offering a unique authentic trade sign from the earlier half of last century, done on beadboard in an old washed-out original reddish-brown paint. This sign reads "Positively No Admittance. Apply at Office". I don't know the origin of this sign, but I came about this sign as it was painted on an antique beadboard door that I salvaged. The door was damaged, but luckily the painted section was still intact. So I salvaged the "sign section" out of the door, and put a simple black frame around it. It measures 20Hx32W. The door that it came from was an antique, and possibly was late 19th Century. That said, I don't know if the lettering was applied when the door was made, but in my opinion, it was done after the fact and later. I do not know when for sure, though. The lettering is black, with a white shadow. The beadboard paint looks original, and is a washed-out brownish red. The frame is black. So while this lettering is all original and done on an antique door, I wanted to be clear that this was salvaged in that manner. That said, it makes for a cool sign that would be enhance any decor. A hanger has been added to the sign. Fast shipping. Priced to sell...thanks for looking!
