Description: Carl Kauba (1865-1922) original antique Vienna solid bronze casting of a Native American Indian Chief ca. 1910 on its original rough rock mineral base. Signed C. Kauba on the back of the legging. This NOT one of the countless reproduction recasts of Kauba bronzes you see on eBay and elsewhere. This is a real original antique casting under the supervision of the sculptor. Very good original patina and overall condition with no damage, no repairs. Overall height: to top of rifle approx. 13 1/4", 11 1/2" bronze alone (excluding the mineral base), 9 1/4" figure alone to top of headdress. Mineral base approx. 5 3/4" wide. The piece weighs in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. Look at all the images for detailed condition. There is another bronze Native American Indian that I have listed that compliments this piece - a very nice pair.
