Australian $50 notes were issued from 1973 right up until they were replaced by polymer notes in 1995. Some notes can be particularly valuable if they have the right serial numbers or if they're in mint condition. The rarest $50 notes can sell for up to $2,000 each. Within Australia, the RBA has estimated that millions of fifty dollar notes are still in circulation. Because $50 notes were printed across a period of around 2 decades, collectors have identified a number of different varieties that are needed to get for a complete set. The paper is bright, the colours are strong and the edges are completely intact. Although they have some light folding throughout the body, they look fantastic. The great thing about getting notes like this is they are a lot more affordable than notes that are in mint condition, and cost a fraction of the price. Because they are already slightly folded, you don't have to worry about members of the family handling them if you get them out.
