When this occurs there is a big difference between the trees. Aureum seems to have the best branch structure of the katsura type trees. This one has outstanding spring color and given the right sun exposure the summer color is awesome. Morning sun and afternoon shade is best fro this variety. Requires partial shade with well drained soil.
