Description: Antique American Brilliant ABP Dorflinger Carafe Belmont Pattern 1891 Clear UV Glow This is a hard-to-find Antique Clear American Brilliant (ABP) Dorflinger Carafe in the Belmont Pattern. This Pattern was introduced in 1891 making the Carafe Antique. We did place it under a 365-wavelength black light and it does have a beautiful green glow due to its Manganese Content. Some ABP glass has this glow. Some of the pictures show it. (This is not glow under a 395-wavelength black light; it is not uranium glass.) The Carafe is about 130 years old and it is in Excellent Condition. The Belmont Pattern shows 8-point stars with crosshatching between the points. There are diamond shaped areas and fans. The base is covered in a 16-point hobstar. This pattern is not easy to find and would be perfect for the American Brilliant or Dorflinger collector. The Carafe measures approximately 8.5” tall 6” wide at its widest point, and 2.5” across the rim. Please magnify the pictures for the details. They are part of the description.
