Some age related tanning to paper. Some newsprint left in book on a few pages to discolor. I have photographed the discolored pages but most aren't discolored. Spine intact with some bumping at ends. The first blank page has dedication to a former owner. This book was popular introduction to the study of optical instruments with maps and directions to facilitate the recognition of the constellations and principle stars visible to the naked eye. Author Garrett Putnam Serviss (1851-1925) was an American astronomer and early science fiction writer. He toured the country giving lectures on astronomy.
