There isn't a tip, so it isn't clear as to how this pencil worked. What is left of the tip has teeth marks and is stamped American L.P Co. Hardtmuth. The other end is marked LITTLE and some thing else but there is corrosion in that area. The shaft of the pencil is has dents and a bend. Without the lid on it measures 4 3/4" long The cap, which may or may not go with this pencil is marked LITTLE RED SCHOOL HOUSE S 571 . The eraser is solid hard and unusable. There is a scratch through the print.
