Description: Salvinia cucullata is a floating plant grows in pads, and its leaves curl more under more intense lighting. This plant has short dense roots that provide some cover near the surface of the water. Local pickup (Jersey City, NJ): Free 2-3 day shipping: $10.00 Next day shipping: $65.00 I ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, and sometimes Wednesdays to lessen the likelihood of livestock and plants getting stuck in transit over the weekend. Allow 48 hours to prepare fish for shipping. I fast fish for 48 hours to increase their chances of survival in transit. Please check the weather for the destination and delivery date of your order, or wait for more favorable conditions to place an order. I suggest adding a heat pack to your order for temperatures under 50F degrees, or a cold pack for temperatures over 85F degrees. For these conditions, I also strongly suggest next-day shipping. All live orders (pickup and shipping) are subject to a 10% restocking fee, as preparing orders is quite stressful on the animals and plants. Dead On Arrival Policy (DOA)Policy does not apply to pickup orders. Live Aquatics:Email clear photos of dead fish in unopened bag sent 1 hour after delivery, no later. Please include a photo of the entire bag, including the knot and rubber band at the top. Please label the email subject “DOA” or “Dead on Arrival”. I cannot hold any responsibility for livestock (*see info below for snails) once the bag is opened. Shipping expenses are non-refundable I can only hold responsibility for the first delivery attempt. Refunds/replacements cannot be issued after further delivery attempts. Please be home for the first delivery attempt. Reply to email regarding refund/replacement within 48 hours. If no reply is received within that time frame, a refund will be issued for the cost of the fish only without shipping. If the replacement fish is DOA, a refund will be issued and the transaction will be closed. For shrimp: 1 extra shrimp will be included to cover the DOA. The DOA policy will apply if more than 1 shrimp is dead on arrival. For snails: Due to stress, snails may stay in their shells or even float for as little as an hour to as long as a few days. However, dead snails will release a very pungent rotten smell. Feel free to drop your snails into your aquarium, and send a DOA email within 2 hours after delivery if needed. Betta fish tend to bite their own fins (Tail nipping) while in transit due to stress. You may observe more visible bites on longer-tailed bettas. They also sometimes change color over time as they age and under stressful conditions. For these reasons, I cannot provide a refund/replacement for tail nipping or color changes. Live Plants:Mild melting and a few dead leaves are normal after shipping. Damage beyond this is eligible for a refund.
