This is the best toy for boys, men and tomboys !The D8 is an excellent choice as a first live steam engine.It is a simple engine that is easy to operate and maintain while demonstrating how a steam engine works. This is a nice small size engine capable of operating an accessory. If you are contemplating the purchase of a comparable engine new and plan to fire it, save a bundle and get this one instead. It has been fired, but it is as good as they come. A new one won't look any better after being fired a few times. This Live Steam Engine is in excellent condition.It has been air tested (video) and will operate on steam.It is 100% complete, including the original box that is in average condition (photos). The boxes used by Wilesco during that period did a good job protecting the content but they didn't age very well.It is 100% original. It is very gift-able. You will need some solid fuel pellets (anywhere camping supplies are sold) and using solely distilled water is strongly recommended.
