The madame is known for her eclectic taste in miniatures and she traveled to shows around the world to find all of the little treasures we are sharing with you. This RARE and hard-to-find piece is a one-of-a-kind creation, signed and dated 2020. It was made by the talented IGMA miniature artist of Spain, Cristina Noriega. She is renowned in the miniature world for her handcrafted 1:12 scaled furnishings that perfectly embody various styles and periods in the past. This incredible hand carved, curvaceous mirror mounted atop a decorative functional drawyer raised on uniquely shaped legs with a serpentine top. There is even a tiny golden key in the drawer. This mirror has a whimsical and fanciful silhouette that immediately transports the viewer to the golden age of the Art Nouveau period, complete with delicately hand carved vines, branches, leaves and the centerpiece of it all - a stunning woodland fairy with her wings open. This piece is as dreamy as it gets! THIS PIECE HAS TRAVELED THOUSANDS OF MILES JUST TO BE HERE...READ THE STORY. *This fabulous miniature piece belonged to, Madame 'Y', who lives in Kanagawa, Japan. For many years I have enjoyed a friendship with Madam Y. Her love of miniatures and her vast knowledge of artisans was something that we enjoyed talking about. Over the years I watched in awe as her collection continuously grew, she even had to expand her beautiful home on the sea just to house her collection of some of the finest miniatures in the world. When she decided to sell her collection, she contacted me so that I could tell her story and the story of each piece she has acquired, over all these years. Her hope is to find a home and share the story of every single piece. We have just begun to receive the boxes, all wrapped so well as they were all very special to her. She wanted others to know these incredible artisans, many she has met in person, from countries all over the globe and it is her hope that you will get to know them too, as we list them one by one.
