It just sits in the shade holder, so when moving I recommend holding the lamp and shade. It also shows some green when a blacklight is shined on it. It has a socket which does not have a cardboard sleeve covering it, so be cautious touching the socket when the lamp is plugged in (you can probably find a replacement cover on E-bay). This lamp requires a C-9 light bulb which is a size bigger than a night light or candelabra bulb, so I will include the light bulb.
