Description: After over 35 years of collecting Chicago Worlds Fair Memorabilia, I'm downsizing and letting go of some of the collection. This is one of my most prized items. There are 3 of the buildings stamped and colorized on 3 sides of the shaker. They are : The Federal Building, The Hall of Science, and The Walgreens Building. In addition, there are 15 cocktail recipes stamped in the metal. They are:Clover Club, Palm Beach, Tom Collins, Dry Martini, Side Car, Between The Sheets, Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour, Gin Rickey, Bronx, Manhattan, Dubonnet, Orange Blossom, Bacardi, and lastly an Alexander. The base is inscribed "Made By A.P. Co Lagrange Ill."This is an opportunity to own a wonderful historical barware item from the most iconic of the Great Worlds Fairs of the ART DECO period. P.S. My grandfather, Jimmy "The Pipe" Haire was an exhibitor at this fair so there is a strong personal connection. He was the World Champion Checkers Champion at the time and author of numerous checkers "move sets" including the Bible of Tournament Checkers competition, "Ramblings With the Switcher". At the fair, he would play 100 contestants at a time and in over 20 months lost once.
