The work’s fuller title: “Paris Exposition Internationale 1937 -- PLAISISRS DE FRANCE de Pierre Sandrini — Album Tabarin 1937.” Free from permanent inscription and markings to the text. Although interior condition is overall good, because this original letterpress book is old, it displays minor signs of use and age consistent with a printed object of this vintage. All unpaginated (45) pp main text appear complete and otherwise correct. Pierre Sandrini, son of prima ballerina and Moulin Rouge artistic director Emma Sandrini, introduced dance to the nocturnes, commissioning dress designs by Erté, so transforming the floor show of wild, scantly clad showgirls into spectacular tableaux.
