This poster features the terrific passage from Ephesians 6:13-18 about how Christians put on the full armor of God to fight, and defend against, the evil one. And it is a reminder to pray at all times. This sword is reminiscent of a cross. The Bible is not promoting violence here, it is simply using battle language for the 'fight' we wage against spiritual enemies. Our 'weapons' are the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, and so on. In the blackletter style, the dense rectangular shape created by the edges of the text was important, to the point where even short words were allowed to be hyphenated to keep the overall shape clean, hence here I have the word "that" expressed as "th-at", as well as others, so that they will fit correctly. If you would like me to add a signature, I'll be happy to do so. Matting and framing would make it much more expensive, and then to ship all that.
