Description: Ardleigh Elliott Pao Chai Music Box ©1999 #A7212 This piece is from the Heirloom Porcelain™ Music Box Collection. This unique music box features the beautiful sounds of the Emperor's Waltz, composed by Ardleigh Elliott. The music box is designed to resemble a red mansion, which adds a touch of elegance to any room. The condition of this elegant piece is near excellent. This music box is a wonderful addition to any collection. The inside of the lid is where the key to wind up this music box is located, I personally love the sound when the lid is slightly askew, opposed to being back in place. Although this is not handmade, it is said the gold on this piece is 22k gold plated and was applied by hand (I cannot attest to this, but I do try and find the most accurate information of anything I have on here). The attention they paid to the details on this collection is a testament to what I believe to be phenomenal work ethic and pride people took in their work. Perfect for collectors of music boxes or those who appreciate the delicate beauty of Oriental porcelain. Noted as a premier issue in the "Beauties of the red mansion" Heirloom Porcelain music box collection. The wind up plays music from The Emperor’s Waltz and sounds great! From my own research, on our wonderful wide internet, this music box collection was manufactured in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
