It is titled, "Apache Warrior #2," with other notations, as shown. Reynold Brown (1917-1991) is a well-known, listed artist with a listing on askART. He also has a Wikipedia page. Per askART and Wikpedia, Reynold Brown was born in Los Angeles, California. His early career was spent inking and drawing the 1930s comic strip, "Tailspin Tommy." An admirer of illustrators such as Leyendecker, Cornwell, Wyeth, and Rockwell, Brown had the opportunity to meet Rockwell who advised him to find work as an illustrator. Some of Brown's illustrations appeared in WWII-era and post-WWII publications such Popular Aviation, Flying Magazine, Boys' Life, Popular Science, and others. Subsequently, Brown painted movie posters for Universal, MGM, Disney, and American International Pictures. He created posters for such well-known films as Ben Hur, Spartacus, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, and more (over 250 campaigns in all). In the early 1970s, Brown started producing fine art (oil paintings, charcoals, pencil drawings, pastels, and watercolors), many with a western theme. Late in life, Brown settled in Nebraska, where he resided when he passed away. Condition This item looks good overall. The artwork is unframed. There is some spotting/foxing to the right hand side, and there are a few tiny, scattered smudges/faint spots. The top edge of the drawing paper has some discoloration. The paper has some minor ripples. Please review the photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying. Terms of Sale 1. Payments Taxes may be applicable.
