Built in 1937 as a training ship for a Norwegian private school. Shortly after returning from her maiden voyage, war broke out and she was introduced into the Navy. She was then commandeered by the German military and used as a submarine carrier. While moored, she was hit by an Allied airstrike, and after the war, she was discovered half-submerged, and was raised by Allied forces and returned to Norway. After being repaired at the dock and returning to service, she sailed again in 1947 and participated in sailing festivals and races. You can still see it today.
