Description: This Anza Bowie knife is the 3rd largest knife they make, and it is a true beast. There are only 2 larger knives the (503) DUNE SLAYER and the PIG SLAYER (504). All 3 are similiar Mircata Handles Super Sharp Blades and will last forever. They are all also Hand-Made and Sharpened, so the can show light on a flat surface and their edge (HOLLOW GROUND). They are not concave the amount of light is a hair maybe 2, this is the best way to sharpen a knife of this size. We want to point out now that Anza makes two knives that are very close,- THE DUNESLAYER at 13" and the DUNE-FIELD at 11 1/4" they look almost the same in color style etc; but there are differences. We also need to stress how sharp these knives are, I believe this is the sharpest knife I sell, and that is scary. Why if you do not believe this you could be seriously hurt. What ever you want a knife to do this Dune Field can do and than some, it is a total Beast. Starting with the Handle Black Canvas Micarta 5" long with a Finger Groove bottom and a Thumb Rest top, Micarta is one of the strongest Man-Made materials used to make knives, it will not break you can drive over it and it feels great in hand very comfortable to work with. Anza knives only makes 6 Big Knives this being 1 of them, it was made from a 14" File the alloy again File Steel 1085 Carbon Steel super sharp this blade is 3/16" thick, 1 1/4" wide, 6" long and has a 5 1/2" Blade Edge this blade was also cut to be made into a double edge if you want Anza cut 3 1/4" off the spine top of blade for those of you that do want a double edge and they tooled the rest of the spine to give it character / looks. The Blade is File-Steel also know as 1085 Carbon Steel a very strong alloy known for its tuff-ness it has been Heat-Treated , 1515c* - 1434c* Annealed has a great Durability and Edge Retention, the closest alloy to this would be 1095 carbon steel, trying to keep alloys you are familiar with, 1085 is stronger than 1095 This is another Full Tang Construction knife there is no way to make a stronger knife than using one piece of steel, it also has a extended tang with a lanyard hole. If you ever needed to get out of or into a car, a car window would be no match for this knife. It could save your life or someone else's with ease This Custom Hand-Made Knife comes with a Black Vertical Leather Sheath High-End leather and everything was made in the U.S.A. by American workers. This Dune-Field-M is very limited we can not tell you how many there are yet, seeing they are only made to order and its time is just about up Anza will only run certain knives for a short time frame making them that much more collectable, and they do not make many big / large knives right now there is only 6 being made to give you an idea. And we at MELLONPATCH4 like bigger knives like this one we only have 4 of the 6 now and will order more but we can't go crazy with them because of their cost we would love to have 10 of these but that is over fourteen hundred dollars we just can not do that.
