The set was issued from 1976 to 1980 under the direction of the International Olympic Committee to commemorate the greatest moments in the modern Olympic games beginning in 1896.The obverse features the Official Olympic Flag which was displayed for the first time at the 1920 games.The reverse features a laurel wreath with the Olympic Rings symbol and information on the featured flag inscribed in French.
