Sydney Ernest Wilson was a Middlesex-born mezzotint engraver of portraits and decorative subjects after 18th and early 19th century British and Continental painters during the late 19th and early 20th century. This is a pencil signed coloured mezzotint of the Hon Mrs Graham, a lady who’s portraits are quite desirable due to her beauty and fame in the art world. The exceptionally exquisite frame appears to be original. It’s color and design is Absolutely lovely and compliments the lady perfectly. The piece dates from 1905-1910 and is one of the finest half length portraits produced by Wilson. It’ glows with beautiful colors and the details are stunning. Approximately 19”x16”.
