Description: Please read the entire description to determine if this is something you really want! Today I am offering this fabulous posable Christmas elf doll figure, often called a knee-hugger. I believe he is an antique pixie probably from the 1930s-40s era. I also think he was most likely made in Japan. These are just opinionated guesses based on my research, so take that for what it's worth! He is a large fellow measuring approximately 17 inches from the top of his pointy hat down to the tip of his pointy shoes. His head is 4" across the front. He is made mainly of felt fabric over sturdy wire arms and legs. His torso is rigid. He has an overly large head compared to most of the smaller elves you'll find available online. His head is hard and covered with what looks like linen fabric. His face is hand-painted with big blue eyes and a mischievous expression. His ears are glued on felt fabric. He has a little bit of feathery yellow hair, but not much. There was probably more originally. His outfit is a pair of Christmas-green overalls with a flower print shirt. His collar, mitten-hands, and shoes are chartreuse green felt. The shoes are embellished with red yarn. He has gold colored metal buttons on his overall straps. He's in pretty good pre-loved condition, especially for his age. He does have some issues. The main issue is his head is loose. But it doesn't come off and stays put when he's on display. He's clean and free from odors or stains. In my opinion he is absolutely fantastic and will make an awesome addition to your vintage Christmas decor. He is being sold AS IS!
