Antique Wool & Velvet French Fashion Doll Bodice Top 20" Doll

Description: This is a lovely antique bodice that has cream wool and black velvet with hooks down the front. The bodice is lined and tailored at the bottom with little pleats. The bodice is in overall good condition for its age but does have two holes in one sleeve at the back and one stain on the other sleeve in the elbow region. Still, the bodice displays beautifully! The bodice has 8 hooks and 3 are missing (there would have been 11 originally). The bodice has a small area of brown pulling away at the bosom region that could be easily tacked down. The lining has old pencil-written numbers inside. I am guesstimating the bodice to fit a 20" fashion with longer arms. I cannot guarantee the fit for your exact doll. Please judge the size from the measurements given and the photos with the ruler. The jacket measures 8 inches from the tip of the shoulder to the bottom edge of the jacket. The middle of the waist measures 10 inches in circumference around the waist of the doll. The bottom skinny tapered part measures 9.5 inches in circumference around the lower waist of the doll. The bosom measures 13 inches in circumference around the bosom of the doll. The jacket measures 4.5 inches from one shoulder seam to the other shoulder seam. Each sleeve measures 8.5 inches long from the edge of the shoulder (where the brown fabric starts) to the end of the sleeve cuff. The sleeve cuff (where the hand goes) measures 5 inches in circumference around the wrist of the doll. A few small holes and the aforementioned stitch needed to tack the front brown flap down at the bosom, but otherwise, very good condition! Non-smoking home.
