Description: antique wooden Checkerboard inlaid burl mini early wonderful!. Looks to be burl o the sides of the board it has shrunk a little ..as you can see. The box has a litte issue it does not close perfect it might have swelled. I show a tiny nit of the wood chipped in the back. It's early its wonderful. Ans you can't help but hold it . I bought a 1850s coverlet with it. My guess from same time period. The Checkers will have to be corn kernels or something like that maybe there was little bones ones. I bet they can be found some where... maybe a travel coach game box for your keep sakes ...maybe a camp box for a soldier its wonderful I love it. It is amazing yo me.
