Description: Antique Window Sash Pulleys For Window Weight Balance Rope. These 100 year old architectural hardware Pulleys make a very interesting display piece, for example, if you are putting photographs inside of an antique window sash, then you can display the weights and pulleys around them as an ornamental decoration. or you can also use them to fix up your house if you have a broken or missing pulley. These were originally created to connect the rope to the balance weights inside of the window frame jamb to hold up the old fashioned "6 light" mullion window frames. A rope tied onto the end of these weights is routed inside the window frame attached by a pulley at the top of each window so that window doesn't slam shut when you open it and let go. These weights will hold it open, which is how they got their name: "Balance". I removed each pulley and balance from a 100 year-old home built in 1920 Ohio.
