Description: A beautiful Victorian oval ironstone small jelly mould/mold with an exceptionally well formed pear in center with arched sides. Stamped “Wedgwood” and “434” to exterior. The mould measures approximately 2.25 inches high, 5.25 inches long and 3.5 inches wide. In the 19th century children from prosperous families were taught polite table manners. The children would have been fed meals in the nursery and were served small portions of adult menus, hence miniature jelly moulds like this one. The item is an antique and is sold as is. The item may show wear, fading, scratches, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. I note that there are areas of discoloration consistent with age, a significant chip to top rim, and many small chips, firing imperfections and a crack to bottom rim as shown in photos. Examine photos carefully as they are part of the description. Imperfections were factored into pricing. No returns or refunds.
