Description: This stunning antique English blue and white small serving dish features a charming Village Church pattern, typical of Staffordshire transferware. The design depicts a peaceful village scene with a quaint church surrounded by trees and rolling hills. The border has English cabbage roses, Camilla and wild orchard. Decorated in the Village Church pattern, also known as Rural Village. This piece is unmarked, but is unmistakably in a pattern produced by Josiah Wedgwood circa 1820s. The serving dish measures approximately 8.25 inches by 5.5 inches and sits 1.5 inches from the table at either end. It has had prior professional repair to the foot and shows crazing typical of earthenware and staining, but otherwise good condition. The item(s) are antique and sold as is/as found unless otherwise noted. Because they are old, they were used and will not look new or new-like. They likely show wear, fading, scratches, chips, cracks, past repair/restoration, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. Significant issues are shown in photos. Examine photos carefully as they are part of the description. Imperfections were factored into pricing. No returns or refunds.
